About Me

My husband and I live near Palm Springs, California, so, yes, we do get our share of pool time and thus the name of this blog. We share our home with two rescue dogs, LG (Little Girl), a little terrier mix, and Onyx, a border collie mix. We have three children, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, most of whom live in the Pacific Northwest.

I first became involved with genealogy when when my parents embarked on their quest to find Mom's immigrant ancestors. I love mysteries and solving puzzles so genealogy was a perfect fit for me.

After 24 years, I retired in 2017 as Government Affairs Director for the local cable company. I now enjoy having the time to follow my passion for genealogy, gardening, and travel.
